John Force Racing

The 15-time Funny Car champion driver and 17-time champion car owner John Force owns and drives for John Force Racing. He is one of the most dominant drag racers in the sport with 133 career victories. In 2011, he and his team will rotate their entire fleet of trucks to Detroit Diesel DD15®-equipped Freightliner Cascadia® trucks, then do the same for the John Force Travelin’ Road Show and the John Force Racing Sponsorship Midway program.

Force, and the president of John Force Racing, Robert Hight, spoke of being impressed with the high level of technology we use in developing our products, especially our wind tunnel. We are thrilled to partner with this legendary team and know their crew will appreciate all of the comfort and style offered by the Cascadia. We’re also look forward to the start of the next season and learning what John’s new trucker handle will be.

Don Schumacher Racing

John Force Racing Show

Don Schumacher started drag racing in 1963 with his street car at the U.S. 30 dragstrip in Gary, Indiana. In 1974, Don “hung up his helmet” and retired from NHRA racing to devote his energies full time to his family business, Schumacher Electric Corporation. Then, in the early 1990s, Don’s interest in drag racing returned when his son Tony began racing NHRA sportsman cars. After watching Tony’s continued success with various competition models, Don decided to re-enter the NHRA racing community as an owner and quickly began forming his racing team network under the name of Don Schumacher Racing, or DSR.

With many sponsorships, including one from the U.S. Army, Don Schumacher Racing and Tony Schumacher captured six consecutive Top Fuel championships through 2009 in the black-and-gold Army car; they won seven championships in total.

DSR operates from a state-of-the-art 120,000-square-foot facility in Brownsburg, Indiana, that can turn out many of the materials needed to put a winning car on the track, including its own chassis. The operation runs with approximately 100 full-time drivers, crew chiefs, technicians, and hospitality and other support staff.

DSR’s racing lineup is an impressive one, and the following drivers are a force to contend with on the track:

  • Tony Schumacher — Top Fuel
  • Antron Brown — Top Fuel
  • Spencer Massey — Top Fuel
  • Ron Capps — Funny Car
  • Jack Beckman — Funny Car
  • Matt Hagen — Funny Car
  • Johnny Gray — Funny Car
