Back in March, the US Legislator passed a bill that took Mexican trucks off US roads, despite the fact that it goes against NAFTA. In response Mexico passed large tariffs on US-made goods. Gary talks about what's being done to get Mexican trucks back on the road, and to get the Mexican government to cut the restrictive tariffs. Then he gives a round-up of a few studies about everything from texting to the economy.

Eric and Gary discuss what the new law would mean for the trucking industry, and what can be done to keep the bill from making it into law. The ATA is pushing for governors to be put on all trucks made after 1992 that would keep them below 65 mph. While the ATA claims that truck speed is the primary cause of trucking fatalities, Eric and Gary talk about what should be actually done to fix the situation.
