The Original Coronado gives new meaning to the term luxury vehicle. Beautifully appointed with Oregon Burl woodgrain trim, the Original Coronado features a convenient wraparound dash that’s easy to reach and an adjustable tilt/telescoping steering column for optimal control. Freightliner’s exclusive EzyRider seat pampers the driver with tilt and length adjustments, along with lateral and lumbar supports for the ultimate in comfort. Plus, there’s more than enough legroom and headroom for standing or moving throughout the cab and sleeper.

The Original Coronado is also equipped with a premium noise abatement package that insulates the cab from the outside world. With an abundance of storage space to keep the cab free of clutter, and with a stow-away upper bunk that provides additional sleeping space, the Original Coronado is your home away from home.


Easy Maintenance
The long-nosed hood tilts easily with the help of two strut bars, allowing quick and effortless access to the engine compartment for routine maintenance and pre-trip inspections. Fluid reservoirs and key components are readily accessible .
Excellent Maneuverability
Engineered with a 50-degree wheel cut, the Original Coronado offers optimal open-highway usage and a tight turning radius for excellent maneuverability going forward or backing up.
Driver's Message Center
The Driver's Message Center provides timely, easy-to-understand information about the vehicle’s operation including fuel economy, outside temperature, equipment faults, fluid levels, trip time, miles driven and idle hours.
  • Batteries are located between frame rails for easy access.


  • The two-piece curved windshield reduces replacement costs and assures great visibility.

  • The steel chrome bumper is designed to resist rock chips and corrosion.


  • An advanced air conditioning and heating system maximizes airflow and keeps cab temperature precise and comfortable. An air filtration system purifies the air and keeps it flowing through the system’s 17 outlets.


  • The bolt-on fenders can be replaced individually, reducing repair costs.


  • Wheel-to-wheel running boards enclose the fuel tanks and incorporate convenient storage boxes.


  • Headlamps are state-of-the-art using polymer lenses and reflectors, with off-the-shelf long life halogen bulbs that require no tools for replacement.
